So, I was wandering if there any games from the point of view of the alien. I was thinking of doing something along the lines of Brother Termite and was wondering, is there anything besides the X-File-ish take on them (okay Brother Termite does have that X-Files-ish vibe, but it was interesting because it was from the POV of the alien). Anybody ever run a serious game where the pcs were aliens living amongst humans?

Nope, but Brother Termite does indeed rock and I entirely applaud your use of it as a source.

I'm toying around with a couple of ideas.

First off, I think I should let the players design the aliens. I'll provide why they are on Earth. I was thinking of going the Wim Wenders route like he did with angels in On Wings of Desire -they(the aliens) are here to record the human experience and that's all.

Also, they are the last to leave - forever - this planet and are on a final mission (somewhat like the sequel to Desire, Far Away So Close - maybe they have to find another alien who has gone missing)

I don't want them to generate characters together. I want their experiences with humans to be vastly different. I am thinking of setting the campaign in a city, which was home to these aliens at one time or another and they are returning to it to carry out their final mission.

I'm at heart a genre GM, so I'm a bit lost in this particular genre. I don't want it to be angsty - WW-ish or turn into a Supers game. I'm kinda of putting on my John Sayles's hat here. I'm hoping for an elegiac quality...
