This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Yeah, but who gives a fuck? You? Jibba?

Well congrats. No one else gives a shit, so your arguments are a waste of breath.

Yeah, at the very least read the first book. Very worthwhile reading with a whole lot of overlap between how the main characters act and how smart PCs act (especially liked the bit with the ballista in one of the later books, which I was reading at the same time and reading a 4ed fan talking about how stupid it was for PCs to do things like sneak ballistas into dungeons and sneak attack with them :) ).

The Dragon Never Sleeps is also very very good Space Opera, a bit dense plot-wise though, it's what would normally be a trilogy boiled down into one book.

I very well might; unfortunately I really can't conceive of when I'd have time to give it a chance.

Quote from: James Gillen;640000The main reason I don't even lurk there anymore is because they don't seem to have much time to review or discuss games even when the designer isn't on their shit list.

I've noticed that myself.
