SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[risus] npc's wanted

I have a confession to make.  I'm not very good at NPCs.  Especially their names.  Or their histories. Or their clothes.  If my players are lucky they might meet an amorphous grey blob thats a slightly different shade of grey to the last amorphous grey blob.  Or if I'm feeling wacky, maybe a teal blob, or puce.

But if I shamelessly steal an idea used on TBP I can appear as if I have singlehandedly created an entire world for my players to inhabit.
By stealing the ideas you lot are about to give me as my own:evillaugh:

What I need is for you to stat yourself up via Risus, or just give a little description of yourself, if you inhabited the Dresden File 'Verse.

Frex.

Once upon a time, someones idea of a joke was to turn the investigating solicitor who was balking their efforts to own London's most prestigious casino without actually paying for it into a chew toy.  Then they had a better idea.  They made said solicitor into a vampire but not before they cut off all his limbs.  Unlife as a quadreplegic.  However Stumpy Dave has found his percieved uselessness to be a boon as to what people let him listen to.  It's almost as if because he has no arms or legs he has no brain, and thats a mistake the Red Court will not survive. Not if Stumpy has anything to do with it.

What I'll do is post up a thread in Actual Play showing what happens to your namesakes.  Will you live?  Will you die?  Will you eat...apple pie?

Doh! Sorry, I skimmed past the rest of the thread because I assumed it would be about stats I couldn't understand. :)

Blakkie.  Give me a little bit of backstory.  General background - modern day, monsters and myths are real but hide from mortal man.  You probably know the drill.

Leo Knight

Here goes nothin'. Hope it's kind of what you're looking for:

Leo Knight- Accidental Wizard

Unpredictable Magic (1)

It started inocently enough... a play. Bell, Book and Candle. With magic in it. So I thought I'd read up on it, aspiring Method Actor that I am. Do some research. Talk to folks in the know. I even joined a Wiccan coven for a while (Wiccan chicks are hot!). Soon I discovered I could make things happen, but only sometimes, and not at the most convenient moments. And sometimes it rings the dinner bell for Them. Fortunately my new girlfriend knows more about this stuff than I do (Did I mention the Wiccan chicks?). So here I am, babe in the mystical woods, weirdness magnet, dodging said weirdness, and acting like I know what I'm doing. I hope I can pull this off.

One day this computer geek found a drum of mysterious in the ditch by the side of the road. Being a curious sort he openned it, not following proper OSHA approved procedures, and was splashed with Green Goop. Everyone knows Green is the color of magic so it wasn't really a surprised to him that he was mutated and twisted by the Green Goop. Now by day he is a not-so-mild-mannered computer programmer. By night nefarious despoiler of nature, clear-cutter of forrests, and an agent in the employ of the Devil himself, Big Oil Inc.
