This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Here's a question (which I guess I could answer myself by downloading it, but in the meantime, I'm curious)

T20 Star System Generation is mostly based on CT Star System gen, which has a few holes in it when it comes to scientific rigor.

2300 AD was a bit more rigorous, taking into account things like which gasses would be retained under certain gravities.

Does 2320 alter the T20 star system generation sequence?

Planning: Some Cyberpunk thing, system TBD.

2320AD does not currently have a stellar design system incorporated. A future release, tentatively titled "The Explorer's Guide" likely will, one based off the original 2300AD system, but further refined with new information.

I'll be looking for it. Thanks for the info!

Sounds like I need to look up a copy of 2300AD and if I like it ...

The current book does not contain all the art work that we intend to have. However, I have provided a link to a Flickr site with some art samples from the book, so you can get a taste of what we have in mind.

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but the entire system, including modules and articles that were published in Challenge Magazine, is available as PDFs on a CD-ROM sold by Far Future Enterprises. I think $35.

There are also some very fine websites out there by fans which give a taste of the setting.

If you look for the game in hardcopy, be aware that there were two versions of the core system: Traveller 2300, which was a completely misnamed product, and 2300 AD. The former simply piggybacked on the reputation of Traveller but had nothing to do with the system or setting, and understand that it's got a lot of holes, as well. The second version fixed the problems.

damn, you folks keep this thread going much longer and my summer gaming $$$ (really just $) will have some serious competition.

i guess whatever i'll be running or playing at the time will help make the final decision, tho.
