Which D&D monsters would you like to see more in modules/play?

Dragons are fairly well represented.  The entire DL series?  The whole DL campaign world?  As for Greyhawk, there's a mated pair of white dragons in G2, the red in G3, an Oriental Dragon in I1, a Green in Tomb of the Lizard King, a blue dragon in S4, - I'd say the Dragon was fairly prevalent.

I've got one like that who is a mover and shaker in Dolmvay (sig), but it's a supplement, not an adventure.

I always liked the hook horrors for some reason. Are they still around?

Aboleths seemed to have a lot of potential.

You guys who are mentioning dragons and such, I seem to recall seeing several DUNGEON Magazine adventures that featured dragons.

I'd like to see a giant community, but done in an intelligent manner as opposed to just a dungeon/castle crawl. It seems to me like the problems even a small giant village would pose are HUGE. I mean, first you need resources to build shelters. Then you have to hunt or farm enough to sustain your entire clan which means vast croplands that have to be tended by someone (young giants, slaves, etc.). Water supply would have to be large and steady. And if waste disposal is a concern for human settlements, can you imagine. . .

Come to think of it, you know, what strikes me as pretty funny right now---a giant telling a PC: "Boy, I take craps bigger than you." And it's the truth!! I think I know what monsters my PCs will be encountering soon.

EDITED: Re: beholders, here is in, in case anyone needs a quick villain:

Oxxolu the Allseeing
Oxxolu the Allseeing is an eye of terror who lurks in the darkest recesses of the City of Dolmvay. Oxxolu is extremely intelligent and a master of intrigue. Oxxolu's network of agents and spies use threats, blackmail, and murder to control various nobles, merchants, and guildsmen. Oxxolu dwells in Dolmvay's sewers where he seeks to unravel its ancient mysteries. The church has offered a reward of 10,000 gp for proof of Oxxolu's death and many adventurers have entered the sewers in search of him, never to return.
Oxxolu the Allseeing (eye of terror): AL C; MV 60' (20'); AC 0 (body) or 2 (central eye) or 3 (eye stalks); HD 11; hp 79; #AT 3 + special; Dmg 1d6 (tentacles)/1d6 (tentacles)/2d4 (bite) + gaze attacks; SA poison tentacles require saving throw vs. poison or die, gaze attacks in multiple directions produce flesh to stone (central eye), slow, polymorph other, hold monster, sleep, hold person, stun ray, telekinesis, feeblemind (eyestalks); SV F12; ML 9; XP 7,300.

Amazingly enough when I started playing around 1986 or so, there wasn't a single module available that featured a dragon, except that Dragonlance nonsense. So they were represented for the first ten years or so, but then nada, until you get to the Dragon Mountain Box Set. So for the "silver age" players like me that started with Mentzer, we got a whole mess of Dungeons but virtually no dragons.

More modules with humans, fewer modules with new monsters.

to be fair, there weren't a lot of modules after 1986 either.  Most of them were prior, and there were only a handful for 2e.  Nothing like the deluge we saw from 79 to 84.  Funny enough though, and a bit ironically, one of them (1987) was this one

D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

I would have picked that up had I ever seen it. Back in the day we liked mini-adventures. The kind of stuff that could be completed over a lunch period or two.

Jesus Fucking Christ, is this guy honestly that goddamned stupid? He can\'t understand the plot of a Star Wars film? We\'re not talking about "Rashomon" here, for fuck\'s sake. The plot is as linear as they come. If anything, the film tries too hard to fill in all the gaps. This guy must be a flaming retard.  --Mike Wong on Red Letter Moron\'s review of The Phantom Menace

Lich deserve more love than they get. All the glory goes to Vampires.

Despite the name of the game Dragons aren't used much. I remember there's an ancient Red in Fire Giants. Besides Dragonlance I can't think of any others.

I'd like to see a campaign that gets into the whole Githyanki/Githzerai war and their conflict with the Mind Flayers.

Rakshasha (sp?) seem interesting but I've never seen them used. They exist as a vague mythological spirit in the same realm as Djinn and Efreet. There has to be an interesting story about how all such beings relate.

Spelljammer gave a fairly interesting Beholder themed module in amongst the other oddities.
