This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Age of Fable

A while ago I saw a book of stock art which had the d20 logo on it.

Is this license useable for non-RPG products? Could someone make an online game using the d20 rules and logo for example?
free resources:
Teleleli The people, places, gods and monsters of the great city of Teleleli and the islands around.
Age of Fable \'Online gamebook\', in the style of Fighting Fantasy, Lone Wolf and Fabled Lands.
Tables for Fables Random charts for any fantasy RPG rules.
Fantasy Adventure Ideas Generator
Cyberpunk/fantasy/pulp/space opera/superhero/western Plot Generator.
Cute Board Heroes Paper \'miniatures\'.
Map Generator
Dungeon generator for Basic D&D or Tunnels & Trolls.

Weird. And probably a simple case of ignorance. I can't recall whether it is legal and weird, or illegal and weird, however.

No. Any "Interactive Game" is (or was - see below) off limits.

Regardless of the details, the d20 STL doesn't exist anymore, or rather cannot legally be used. So it might be a moot point, depending on why you're asking.

Not the logo but the code and game data could be under the OGL. The reason for the logo is that the logo's license prohibits it use for computer games.

That being said there are better license for software. I would license the game data under the OGL and the software code under the GPL or another open license.

It was this book, by Larry Elmore. I'm actually kind of surprised how obscure this is. It doesn't seem to be on rpgnow or any similar site.

The main reason I asked was that I was wondering if, back in the day when people often called D&D 'd20', someone could've put out a 'd20 video game'.

"Back in the day"?!? Dude, I'm NOT that old, for fuck's sake. "d20" is still a relatively new term...
