There was a dude who posted here who did a puff piece interviewing Zak. One of the few who would after everything went down. And if you watch the first couple minutes when Zak was rude as fuck about not needing to be handled, that tells you everything one needs to know about who he is.

If anything, it's US law that's the outlier because it makes it almost impossible to take legal action when you've been defamed. So what exactly should a person do when their character gets assassinated with bogus charges? Not taking action would be construed as an admission that the accusations are true.

To be frank, I have to thank Pundit for running a website where this conversation is still allowed. A cursory search of mine shows that Cam did post this to Twitter (where it has almost zero engagement), and EN World, where it immediately got locked. I imagine Cam also posted it to a few other places where moderators experienced a glitch in the matrix and immediately deleted it. Cortex is a roll and keep step die system which leans into the narrative/ storytelling direction. It basically turns your classic Fate Point into a Fail Forward metagame currency trading game, where bad rolls create Spoilers, which the GM can activate into a Complication, which gives you Plot Points, which you may then use to keep an extra die on a later roll.

I have a kinda awkward relationship with Cortex because my homebrew system has a visible amount of parallel evolution with it. That said, I design combat games, not narrative fidget-spinner games, and certainly not Fail Forward.

I agree entirely. I don't know Zak S, and everything I heard about him and his various relationships both in real life and online, seem to be utterly toxic. I long ago maintained that whatever sordid relationship he had going with women was none of my business. Anyone screaming about whatever terrible atrocities should therefore prove them in a court of law. Have Zak arrested, hire lawyers, scream, cry, and get down into the sewer. At the end of the day, the TRUTH will come out. Either way, that is Zak's life. None of that happened, however. No court has judged Zak, and in fact, as I have heard--many of his detractors and accusers have been jack-hammered in the ass, and humiliated for their own hysteria, lies, and absolute malice.
