This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Friday Night Firefight (FNFF) is the combat system from Cyberpunk 2020. It is well regarded as a generally playable gritty combat system.

Does anyone have a recommendation for something better, or even something as good? I have no beef with FNFF or CP2020 as a whole. I'm curious whether anyone else has matched or exceeded it.

Not that I know off.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

The question here is Better at what? The limits of Interlock are pretty well known (crit/fumble chances are very high, penetration and physical damage should be detached from each other, etc), so what are you looking for in a "better" system? I could make better arguments for anything from Savage Worlds to Phoenix Command, depending on what you're looking for.

General inquiry. Better phrasing of the question would be: "Anything that would be more highly recommended?"
