SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Any good OSR fanzines or such resources?

I only have the first issue of Gabor Lux's Echoes from Fomalhaut, but it's pretty awesome so far.  Looking forward to picking up the second (and third, and fourth, etc.) when I have the chance.

Quote from: The Exploited.;1053399I'll definitely have a look at those as well. Cheers for the suggestions!

I'm really getting into S&W at the moment as well as Whitebox. Too be honest, I'm coming into the OSR scene quite late... Even though, ironically I started on B/X when I was a kid.

I have an articles index for KS on my blog @ https://grodog.blogspot.com/2017/05/knockspell-magazine-master-index.html

FightOn's web site used to be live and to include an index, but it's down; it should be available from the Internet Archive @ https://web.archive.org/web/20150305183123/http://www.fightonmagazine.com/ but that doesn't seem to be working atm so see http://the-city-of-iron.blogspot.com/2012/02/fight-on-index-of-articles.html if its down.

I've began reprinting the design articles I wrote for KS in my blog (just wrestling with big tables on the last two articles still) @ https://grodog.blogspot.com/ and that's where I pimp The Twisting Stair (a mega-dungeon design zine from me and Tony Rosten; I've continued my "From Kuroth's Quill" articles from KS in TTS) too:
- issue #3 @ https://grodog.blogspot.com/2018/02/the-twisting-stair-3-spring-2018.html
- issue #2 @ https://grodog.blogspot.com/2017/06/the-twisting-stair-2-summer-2017.html
- issue #1 @ https://grodog.blogspot.com/2017/04/the-twisting-stair-1.html

RPGPundit

Quote from: Kuroth;1053373Pundits' own Presents count. They have a lot of variety in the full scope of them.

That's true, in the sense of being a 'periodical' with one 'article' per week. Some people don't seem to like the Pundit Presents format, but it's been growing to get its audience, and of course people can pick and choose if a particular issue is on a subject that appeals to them. Some people only want the medieval stuff, some only want gonzo, some want the adventures, others want everything but the adventures, etc.

De nada.  If you're looking for older zines, Jon Peterson just pointed to an old thread at the Tome of Treasures where a bunch of old wargaming, Dippy, and other pre-RPG zines were being discussed, too:  http://odd74.proboards.com/thread/13133/index-pre-newsletters-magazines --> http://www.tomeoftreasures.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3607

RPGPundit

I'll take advantage of this thread to state that after a couple of weeks being out due to technical problems for Precis, RPGPundit Presents is coming back this week, with a Last Sun setting book called The Zombie Empire and The Theocracy of Lariel.
