This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I haven't heard a word on Lulu.com though there's one going on on DriveThruRPG.

The Frog God Games site has pretty much everything 50% off.

I'm tempted to pick up the gigantic $100.00 Rappan Athuk book for Swords & Wizardry for $50.00

If I can do a bit of self-promotion.  Wolfhill Entertainment has a full catalogue bundle (not including two latest releases from a few days ago) at 40% off!

Frog God is probably the biggest sale...

Not sure what to pick, since I'm not into megadungeons and detailed settings. Maybe monstrosities.

FWIW, some of my books are included in the sale (I don't know how they chose it).

Old School Feats and Alternate Magic are compatible with B/X and OSE, BFRPG, etc. They add lots of options to your games without getting to AD&D/RC levels of complexity, and you can check the free previews in the site to read almost half the books:

https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/397412/Alternate-Magic-OSR?src=newest

Also, if you're into 5e, my two 5e books are also on sale (weapons and armor):

https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/291160/5e-Manual-of-Arms-Weapons?src=hottest_filtered
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/291153/5e-Manual-of-Arms-Armor--Shields?src=hottest_filtered

I also have a couple of "get everything" bundle for 50% off, but these are not Black Friday deals:

Best that I have seen is on Bundle of Holding:

https://bundleofholding.com/presents/TravExplorations

https://bundleofholding.com/presents/GreatRift

Each one has got some Mongoose Traveller 2e books as PDF for a small price.

Now, for quite awhile I hated the 2nd edition for crap that mainly happened during the playtest and the result was crippleware with the Traveller name on it. This is all for the Core Rulebook 2022 update which fixes all of the previous stuff that I hated about that edition of the game. I took a chance and bought this and all in all, I'd say that I really got my money's worth on this deal.

This ends in 3 days from now, so you might want to hurry.
"Meh."

I snagged both of these. Excellent stuff. If you're looking to get into Traveller, you MUST get the explorer's bundle. It doesn't get much better than this. For $12.95, you get:

* The 2022 Corebook
* Behind the Claw (setting book, enough material to create an entire campaign)
* Sword Worlds (setting book, subset of BTC)

If you're already into Traveller, the Great Rift stuff is fantastic. Reading through the GR book made me think "I want to run this." The Great Rift is a vast interstellar void that very few ships can cross all at once. Instead, ships must hop between "islands," some of them worlds, some of them stations, each of vital strategic importance. Missing a jump means a slow death, stranded in deep space. Rumors exist that both empires have secret bases in the Rift, which hide secret fleets or forbidden experiments...

I picked up Amazing Adventures 5E from TLG for $10. I might not ever use it as intended, but I have everything AA and C&C already and I backed the Indiegogo for AA 3rd Printing.

Call me a damned completionist…

Edit to add: that’s $10 for the hard copy, btw.

I don’t dig on the regular Traveller Universe much. Wish they had 2300AD in there somewhere.

I've been looking at The Scarlet Citadel by Kobold Press, which is on sale for $19.99 (Hardcover) at the Kobold Press webstore. Any one have this one? I'm a bit concerned by this review:

Quote
However, the backstory/history assumes a thorough knowledge of the Midgard campaign setting, with unexplained references to (off the top of my head) various members of its unique pantheon, “ring magic,” “the Void” and Void magic, “Elfmarked,” and of course geography. The use of setting-specific “ley lines” are key to the plot and dungeon design. You’ll either need to get the DM and players familiar with the setting, or (re)write a lot of history. There are also numerous references to creatures in Tome of Beasts (40 references) and the Creature Codex (34 references), without statblocks or even challenge ratings; if you don’t own these products, you’ll need to replace and (re)balance many encounters yourself.

I could probably wing the pantheon and geography, but not owning those monster books is a different matter.

(You can probably guess I don't play 5E that much.)

Via Amazon; I just purchased the giant 2 hardcover slipcase edition of The Temple of Elemental Evil for 5E, by Goodman Games, on a Cyber Monday deal, for $28.99  Please realize that this includes reprints of the original modules for 1st Edition AD&D, and 5th Edition D&D conversions.  Everything needed to run the previous module The Village of Hommlet, and the following module The Temple of Elemental Evil; for both 1st Edition, and 5th Edition.  And I own both systems.  Great classic modules, for a steal of a deal.

Last year I thought hard about it, at $75.  For $28.99 I just had to buy it this year.  An unbelievable price.
