This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Has anyone made a post about Ankur yet? I haven't played it, but I have seen the art. The site seems really cool. It's based on a D12 system, where 1D12 is all that's needed to play. Chris Miller decided to write it up after getting sick of regular work. Main theme is Sumeria, but it has space travel, interstellar beings, ect. Seems really cool. Thought I'd throw it out there.

Let us know if you have a play experience and what it's like.

Interesting. Looks like a similar approach as Planeshift's Amonkhet setting or I believe Dangerous Journey's Necropolis setting?

Looks a bit short on races though. Looks to be primarily humanocentric?

When I saw artwork that was traced from other sources, I quickly lost any interest in it.

Picked up the pdf, and while its a neat idea, the vast majority of the book is rules no one will ever use.

That's disheartening. It does sound like a neat idea. I think I'll grab a copy and give it a read. I forgave the borrowed art pretty quickly, because the concept was so amazing. Maybe he should sit down with a few developers, or get in some forums like this, and see what should be changed. What kind of rules weren't necessary?

It seems pretty obscure I'd say. Saw it on a YouTube channel with some 300 views a video, but can't recall which one. First glance it looks well made. I guess a read would warrant more information on playability.
