This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Also, you spelled punctuation wrong when complaining about someone's spelling ;)

It is an internet law that something will be misspelled in a post complaining about misspellings.

BUTT...

His is of a higher order, which was my point.  He seems to be intentionally avoiding punctuation*, capitals and correct spelling. It's like he wants it to be his schtick on this site.

But I was finished harping on him after my first post.

* I got it right that time. :D

I can't bring myself to believe that anyone's puncuation and spelling could be this bad unless it were intentional.

What tipped me off is that his name is "typo" misspelled.  :D

What tipped me off was the low post count, recent join date, and the fact that his first act was to necro that five-year old Pundit thread about one-on-one RPGs being gay.

If your having tier problems i feel bad for you son i got 99 problems but caster supremacy aint 1.

Apology\'s if there is no punctuation in the above post its probably my autism making me forget.

tuypo1

Welp guess i was wrong they managed to fit it in just fine.

They went with a sorcerer bloodline instead of the warlock pact everybody here seemed to think was the best choice.

Not me. I just pointed out that the warlock was allready set up as a pseudo-cleric as was.

Interesting that they went with Sorcerer and the whole "Transformed" track.

Warboss Squee

Well, the sorcerer has the weakest sub-class options in the core, since you either go the "I love dragons" route or the lulz route.

Yeah, that irks me to no end. I much prefer the Pathfinder "bloodlines" and wish 5e would implement something similar.

Should this article have a thread to itself? It offers interesting insights into the current state of class design and is probably worth a detailed review from the local home-brewers.

There are tons of difference between warlocks and clerics, but what it comes down to is:

  • Clerics worship their gods, which is a rather one-sided arrangement
  • Warlocks bargain with their patrons, which is a contractual agreement
As for the Favoured Soul, it would probably make more sense as a Divine Sorcerer, with class features granting proficiency in better weapons/armor, and access to healing. Seriously, does anyone NOT think the Sorcerer needs more options?

Depends on the Warlocks patrons. As per the fluff text they cover alot of territory frombeing a slave to, to being a pawn of, to academic study of a patron that somehow allows them to tap that beings power, to bargaining with, to being favoured by, up to flat out worshipping them.

Kind of like the sorcerer the warlock has the potential to be whatever a player or DM wants it to be. I think adding Favoured Soul to Sorcerer was a good move though as that class was a little lacking.
