This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

And the civilian:

going for the "somewhat plot important for very little reason" genre trope.

I'm starting to see the campaign develop.  Impulsiveness as a perk for your main science civilian is interesting.  There must be a reason for that disadvantage for them.  Psychologists have trusted as a perk.  Somehow that seems out of place, but that might be a cultural aspect in the template.  Security has unluckiness! Ha  I like that one.  For the doctor I would be tempted to replace honestface with something that models social awkwardness in personal situations.

I was looking over my 1/2 edition GURPS stuff and wondering what might be good to do with it.  I had a friend that wanted to do Autoduel.  I might do a Roadwarrior thing.  Haven't really decided, though.  Good to see that the science fiction setting is coming along.

Alright.

I'm going to add a "Spaceman!" skill for a catchall Everyman skill.

I'm also going to decouple Stats and skills and instead just base skills off 11. This will lead to slightly higher skills and discourage stat inflation (as it stands upping stats is much cheaper than upping 2-3 Wildcard skills.

I've got a little bit of rejiggering to do tonight.

Drohem

What point total are you using for the characters?  Looks like you're going for about 250 from the Lens' costs and base Scientific Union Astronaut template, is this correct?
