Any really good 3rd-party 5e Products?

So it's been a while since WoTC opened up the floodgates to allow people to make their own 5e stuff.

What's the best of it? And why?

Adventures in Middle Earth is great.

Amethyst, Neurospasta, and Ultramodern are a little too 3e to be great but they aren't bad for modding 5e for a modern setting.

finarvyn

I like the "Fifth Edition Fantasy" product line from Goodman Games. Pretty simple and traditional fantasy modules.

I second "Adventures in Middle-earth" although I only have the player's book. (I guess the DM book is either out soon or just released.)

Middle Earth is really good if not classic DnD. It does show how flexible 5e is while staying 5e in spirit. No worries about blowing the power curve.
They respected the game.

Adventures in Middle Earth is the best by far. Doug Cole's Dungeon Grappling is very good as well.

Adventures in Middle Earth is a great product. I've read the player's guide and was impressed. I'm waiting for the DM book to come out in print before running it. Production values are good, the player material really seems in line with the feel of Tolkein's Middle Earth, and it has that something that makes me excited to play in the setting.

Primeval Thule is another well done book. Very nicely done with great art and production values. I think it does well what it sets out to do - more of a Conan type setting than typical high fantasy. I'd like to see more products from this company.

If you like adventures, The Complete Adventures of MT Black are some of the best I've seen. They are shorter adventures, each good for a 3 hour session or so. All of the ones I've read were very well written. Artwork is sparse, but the layout is professional and readable. I really like these. I think they would be great for convention one shots, or just linked together for a campaign.

5th Edition Fantasy adventure modules by Goodman games are decent. I didn't care for the plot of Glitterdoom, but liked The Fey Sister's Fate. Good bang for your buck. Decent writing and artwork.

The setting books from Frog God Games are impressive. Bard's Gate, Borderland Provinces and some others have 5e versions. They are quite meaty. Bards Gate is a 400+ page city sourcebook. Production values are good. I personally have a hard time sitting down and reading 400 pages of setting material on PDF, but what I've read has been decent. Print versions are available, but $100 bucks is rather expensive.

As mentioned the M.T. Black adventures I've read are quite good. As is the Underdark material by Tony Petrecca.

Dragon+ has been releasing some of the better DMG adventures for free, the most recent issue includes Banquet of the Damned by Benoit de Bernady (who obviously was born to be a game designer with that name) and an adventure by the very talented cartoonist and illustrator Jason Thompson. Thompson not only does the delightful Family Circus-like walkthroughs of classic modules but also did the art for Kiel Chenier's debut LotFP release.

Heard good things about The Book of the Tarrasque and Tome of Beasts.

Yep, Adventures in Middle Earth is as good as it gets.

I also liked Primal Thule and Scarred Lands.

I have the Tome of Beasts and Scarred Lands and I'm happy with both. I also have Fifth Edition Foes, Book of Lost Spells and Quests of Doom from Frog God Games. They're solid products.

I'd heard very good things about that one, yes.  It's really the only 3rd party 5e product I've heard much of anything about.

Firstly hi

Secondly great list of products, I asked a similar question elsewhere and people struggled.
Are the Frog God books 5e specific and are the worth getting as the basis of a new campaign?

PS love Lords of Olympus

Some of the books for Frog God Games' Lost Lands setting are 5e. I think currently Bard's Gate and Borderlands Provinces. Most of the others are for Pathfinder and Swords and Wizardry.

The Bard's Gate book is a giant full-color city book with a ton of information and locales within the city, as well as several short adventures. There isn't much info for areas outside the city and details on gods and religion is limited to a page or so.

Borderlands Provinces is a smaller black and white book that focuses on a wider area of the world and has more useful info on the pantheon.

I think Borderlands Provinces is the better setting book for a campaign, but Bard's Gate is cool if you want to focus on a large city.

I think the people at Frog God are working on a Lost Lands campaign book covering all the areas, but I have no idea how far along in the process they are.

I don't even like Tolkein and I bought it based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback I read about it. Not disappointed.

I have Glitterdoom from Goodman Games. It isn't amazing, but I liked it fine. The end boss TPK'd the party a little too easily, but this was before I read the Sage Advice clarification that "creature moves into area" is not the same as "area moves into creature." Also, several members of the party had gotten a bit complacent from 4e's tactical-oriented combat where being clever and crafty is less important to survive. And there's an insta-kill trap! Overall a good intro to old-style dungeons for people who are latecomers to the hobby.

I also have Kobold Press' Tome of Beasts. Other than the hilariously large number of Beautiful Maiden Who Drowns You monsters, it is a very high quality book. I've only used one monster in play so far, but the illustrations are top-notch, and there's a lot of stuff in there. Most of what I've read seems reasonable. The biggest gap this fills is the lack of good boss monsters in the 5e MM. There are quite a few monsters in here that are clearly intended to be bosses for parties of the appropriate CR rather than mobs for much higher-CR parties. Really love the Fey Court and will be working them into my sandbox.
Every time I think the Forgotten Realms can\'t be a dumber setting, I get proven to be an unimaginative idiot.
