This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Thank you for posting this.

Rick Loomis is a good dude. Easily the nicest vendor I've met at any con.

If you don't feel like giving to the GoFundMe, consider buying some stuff from Rick's company FLYING BUFFALO

I highly their recommend Nuclear War boardgame. It's a great gift and crazy fun to play.

Of course, T&T is pure old school RPG awesome.

I heard about the cancer, but hadn't heard the latest that is too bad.

They just reprinted a bunch of Mercenaries Spies and Private Eyes (MSPE) stuff too. A good solid 80s game with only mild crunch. The new rule book looks great.

Oh my, poor guy and his family. :( Thoughts and prayers to them. It is nice for those who can to support him & his work.

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

Gave a few bucks. Wish I could afford more right now.

Rick was an important part of my 20s, when I played some great Play By Posts through FBI. Even went to an FBI convention in Scottsdale, AZ.

I remember those play by posts! Actual postal service posts!

It's true. Rick died on Friday night, just before his 73rd birthday. It's on the GoFundMe page.
