This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Are there any generic werewolf games?

Well, the joy of there not being a generic Werewolf game out there is that you can start with whatever system you fancy, and then bolt on the rules you want to use for the game you want to play.  I'd probably go with Savage Worlds, myself, because it's not too difficult to play around with how things work.  That said, GURPS has a lot of stuff out there for it that would be useful.

Might be fun to hunt down the.. wait a moment... "Black Ops" worldbook, which was all about monster hunting.  But while I was trying to figure out what that was called, I see that there's a series of Monster Hunter pdfs for 4th edition that could be useful.  On the other hand, there's the Monster Hunter International RPG, based on HERO, which is built off of Larry Corella's series of entertaining novels about a private monster elimination company that tracks down the boogeymen in return for bounties from the government.  I've got a copy of that in paper, but I haven't cracked it open yet because of a lack of time.  (Also, I was planning on finishing the first three books to prevent spoilers.)  Either of these should support having Werewolf PCs.

I'm aware of when Rice started writing vampire stories and I saw, but remember nothing interesting about Near Dark. Let's just agree to disagree about what's cool shall we.
