This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So, anyone bought this book? I didn't find any thread here about it, so I make this.

Basically Keith Baker, Eberron setting creator, make a new book exploring some topics of his world that he never could talk about before. There is more than 240 pages, some new subclasses and amazing new images.

QuoteJoin Eberron setting creator Keith Baker in this tour through the lands, oceans, and planes of Eberron. Exploring Eberron presents Keith's vision of Eberron like never before, with fresh lore and rich illustrations to bring the setting to life.

In this book, Keith takes players and Dungeon Masters on a thrilling dive into the world of Eberron. Encounter the monstrous folk of Droaam, the goblinoid Heirs of Dhakaan, the Mror dwarves and their Realm Below, and the sahuagin and merfolk dwelling beneath the waves. Embrace faiths of altruism, pragmatism, and darkness. Browse the tomes of Dolurrh's Vault of Memories, seek the Amaranthine Cities of Irian and Mabar, meditate with the githzerai monks of Kythri, and much more.

The adventure won't be easy! Mighty friends and foes await--from legendary archfey and proud sahuagin to nightmarish quori and alien daelkyr. Eberron is a world in need of heroes, but take heart: between these pages lie a host of character options for would-be heroes to enjoy. You'll discover new archetypes for the artificer, cleric, druid, monk, and bard. Play unique Eberron races and subraces including gnolls, Dhakaani goblinoids, aasimar of diverse faiths, and ruinbound dwarves. Uncover a wealth of magic items from around the world, wield symbionts that bond with your very flesh, channel your dragonmark with focus items--and perhaps even manifest a Siberys dragonmark of immense power.

The art has been disappointing and I haven't read deeply into the mechanics yet, but the flavor text is great.

Seriously? I really love the art. Things like the map of the planes and the picture of Tira really catch my heart.

There are some good pieces, but there are also some awful ones.

I just read over the Changeling Traveler Clans part, and I have to wonder if the same people that have issue with the Ravenloft Vistani are likely to see some parallels to the stereotypical Gypsy culture here too.

I ditto King Macbeth on the art. Looks fantastic.

As someone who is Eberron curious but not actually running or playing it right now:  is this a worthwhile physical copy purchase?

I already have Rising from the Last War.

The shifters on p. 43 don't look good at all. Neither do the gnolls on p. 94. All of pp. 204 & 220 are ugly and the gnoll on p. 212 is terrible.

I just agreed with shifters, but even so, is best than most in DM Guild. And there is a lot o pictures better than everything that I saw in officials books.

I really think that deserves. There is a good amount of things that you can use in other settings. Subclass, items, plane chapter, etc... Almost all book are of topics that we had little in Rising or in all Eberron books until now. I really loved this book.
