Hey all, just wanted to thank you for all of the advice and help.

We decided on the Nintendo DS Lite - which I'll be buying tomorrow at 5AM (I hope).  Nobody is really providing a great offer, but I can get a free accessory kit at one store - plus there are some other things I want to peruse.

We'll get the portability for car trips (and he like to walk around while playing), and he can use Lego Star Wars for Game Boy Advance AND the new Lego Star Wars II in native DS format. Besides - the only thing he says is "DS" when you ask him what he wants for Chirstmas. He'll love it.
