This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Does someone know some real great, unique and unknown role playing games for PC? And with unknown I don't mean Arcanum or Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines. I am talking about obscure titles from Europe, Russia etc. PC is really unique with it's very big list of such titles.

By the way does someone know the name of one German game which I think was similar VTM: Bloodlines? It was a german games, don't know if that was translated but it was very similar to Bloodlines.

Skyrock

In regards of vampire-related German CRPGs, I'd only know of Vampires Dawn - Reign of Blood and Vampires Dawn 2 - Ancient Blood (as well as related games as Unterwegs in Düsterburg).

Apart from a hidden humanity gauge that can be affected by in-game choices, it's however closer to 16bit FF games than to the VtM PCRPGs (levels, XP for killing things, turn-based combat, attack/item/magic/flee action choice etc.)

I know that it's sort of a combination RPG and miniatures rules set, but Warriors of Mars has always been sort of obscure. That and Bunnies and Burrows. Both are RPGs that people talk about but it's nearly impossible to find anyone else who has actually played them. Another obscure one is Dave Arneson's Adventures in Fantasy. All of these games are around 30 years old, but are pretty hard to come by.

Tamelorn

Darklands was fun, and almost playable.

Hairfoot

Does Nethack count as unknown, or just underrated?

:o Must read more carefully before I post. :o

There was a simple mostly-text-format thing called Spellcaster 101: Sorcerers Get All the Girls that I used to play. Not really cool graphics but a number of puzzles to solve in order to work through the whole thing.

But I suppose you're looking for more arcade-style games?
