This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Circus Imperium from FASA.

Along with Space Hulk.

And throw in old school Car Wars for good measure.
I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.

I'd love to see that.  Might want to spruce up the graphics a little, that red-orange background doesn't do it for me.

Avalon Hill's Magic Realm, with all the stuff Richard Hamblen couldn't include due to budget overruns.
For fuck's sake, these are games, people.

And no one gives a fuck about your ignore list.

How would you retro-clone a boardgame?   I can understand the rules cloning, but what about the pieces and the board itself?   Will the idea be to print out the PDF and just construct your own?

I would love to see a new version of HeroQuest, Warhammer Quest, Space Crusade and Space Hulk.   I like Descent but its too slow.

Awful Green Things From Outer Space! Actually, I'd just like to find a used copy of the game in decent condition :D

I lurved that game.
On weird fantasy: "The Otus/Elmore rule: When adding something new to the campaign, try and imagine how Erol Otus would depict it. If you can, that's far enough...it's a good idea. If you can picture a Larry Elmore version...it's far too mundane and boring, excise immediately." - Kellri, K&K Alehouse

I have a campaign wiki! Check it out!

Tom Wham! being mentioned in the GaryCon thread is what has inspired me to find a copy of that frikkin' game. I wanted to play it but I've somehow lost it in between moves lately:(

Yes, it would.

You'd have to make a board and pieces that did what the originals did, but without infringing on copyrights. However HeroQuest's characters are very 'generic fantasy', and the board is pretty simple, so this would be easy enough.

I will second that one.  Played it at a con a few times.  Then when I went looking it was sold out.  Then years later when I remembered it (lots of beer at that con) I went looking.  By that time out of print and impossible to find.

There was another I played long ago but forgot the name of.  You controlled ants in an anthill and fought other ants for control of resources.

Could you be thinking of Chitin? An old Metagaming microgame.

The name isn't ringing a bell.  But then again most of the con games I played eventually became a blur from the drinking that came later in the night.
