While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). Well I bit the bullet and ordered Crusader Kings 3 Royal Edition. I'm way too much of a fan boy of Paradox to not get it. I've gotten hundreds of hours out of CK2 and Stellaris. I bring this all up because I will be playing CK3 on September 1st. Deus Vult Ladies and Gents, Deus Vult.
Playing: Lords of Olympus, Amber Diceless, Tales of Gor
Running: Cha'alt using DCC, Dead Reign, Lords of Olympus

I love a lot of their games, like Stellaris and Europa Universalis, but could not get into Crusader Kings 2. I did download Wasteland 3 and did not start yet.

Let us know how it is. I'm an old school Wasteland fan from back in the day.

I finished Carrion. Fun game, if you like being the eldritch horror eating people for a change :)

I liked Carrion too, a horrific puzzle game shooter platform that is very enjoyable in terms of graphics and gameplay.
My one complaint is that it DESPERATELY needs a map. I know it's a throwback to Metroidvania games but the environments are NOT as linear as those older games. I wound up having to go online and find maps just to track down the last couple of boosts I'd missed.

I also liked Carrion, but beyond the lack of a map (weird oversight, really) what bothered me more was the abysmally short playtime.

Was done in ~5 hours with most boosts unlocked.
My thoughts were "Cool! I got all the abilities, now the game can start for real. Felt a bit like a long tutorial so far." - and just an hour or so after, the credits rolled.

I really hope they can make a sequel with more meat (hehehe) on its bones.
The game was a success and the ending definitely makes room for a sequel, so fingers crossed!

Mostly been playing Slay the Spire lately.  I've had a hard time getting into much else.

About a month and a half ago, I beat the Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow "Alter" hack, which was interesting.  The plot doesn't change, but the layout definitely does.  That one area based on "The Arena" from CV: Circle of the Moon - basically a gauntlet of no-magic fight-several-rooms-of-enemies - still evades me though.

Thinking of picking up FF1 again.  NES version.

Guys. Death Stranding is awesome. I really love the detail and all of the people that Sam meets along the way. Helping people rebuild after an apocalypse is fun. Plus add in Kojima's silly stuff and you get probably one of my favorite games.

I just picked up Until Dawn for the PS4. It's essentially a teen horror movie in video game form, cast with digital versions of various actors including Hayden Panettiere, Brett Dalton, Rami Malek and Peter Stormare.

The gameplay is pretty basic, mostly walking around exploring and finding clues, combined with quicktime events at dramatic moments. There are choices you can make along the way that have repercussions later on, and there are multiple possible endings. The nice thing about the branching storylines is that the game makes these explicit, with a "butterfly effect" graphic that appears, and a screen in which you can review the various decision/success/failure points and the effect that they had on the current game, which should make it easy to replay for different results.

I picked it up used for $20, and for that price I am happy with it. The graphics are nice, with good likenesses of the actors, certainly better than recent wrestling games for instance. So far the storyline is decent, and the horror is a blend of creepy tension and scenery, with some action, jump scares, and gore.

I "play" Inquisitor. Personally, I don't know if some have managed to finish the game without the walkthrough or the console because the difficulty is INSANE. Besides the titles of Iron Tower Studio it's a joke.

Yeah, that game...
The aesthetics drew lots of people in. And in the beginning, the game is really very promising. But once you get to those seemingly endless orc mines (or was it bandits?) and have to constantly run back and forth for healing, it just becomes a complete chore.

I wouldn't even say it's that difficult - kill a few enemies, go back to town, repeat until done, that's not difficult. But it is very painful.

I'd say that is a game not worth attempting to play through entirely.
The beginning makes you hope that the game will be better later on, but it really won't.
