Console, PC, whatever - what games are you playing? I think I need something new to waste my time on, as WoW and Civ4 fails to keep my attention for very long at a time.
Well, I haven't touched my XBOX in awhile but I'm still playing CAll of Duty and Battlefront II
WoW, and just started to mess around with Dungeon Siege II
Well, I was playing Evil Genius until my graphic card decided to burn out.
And I can't afford to by a new one for quite a while (Running on an ancient and borrowed card at the moment). :(
Dungeon Siege II would be an alternative. I enjoyed the first DS just fine.
I just picked up WoW this past weekend. I imagine I'll be playing this for a long time to come.
I'm not very far into it as of yet, but it is definitely fun.
You'll enjoy it if you liked the first one. Since it's not brand new, you should be able to pick it up for a decent price also.
I got a brand new iBook G4 and a hacked version of NWN and I've having a blast. From reading the BioWare forums, there's a way to play the Diamond Ed on a Mac, so I'll probably spring for the $30 for that soon. Anybody here play, and on what server?

Ain't got the moolah for a console , don't have a TV to hook it up to either...
So , I'm playing my games on my computer and since I'm quite the old-fashioned gamer , it's still good 'ole turn-based strategy and RPGs for me (plus a few arcade-games)
Add into the mix , my machines are completely Micro$oft-free and you'll see how I end up playing "Battle For Wesnoth"(on my Linux-box) and "Return to Zork" , "Elite" , "Eye Of The Beholder" I , II & III , "Wingcommander"(I-IV) etc on my (DR-)DOS-box.
Civ 4, but debating the new Star Wars RTS game as well.
City of Villains, Dawn of War, and Unreal Tournament are pretty much my games of choice. I need to get my copy of FarCry back froma friend so I can reinstall that.
I have been playing Perfect Dark Zero. It is an amusing little game with a very quaint view of the future. The multi-player is very fun.

What kind of multi player options does it have. Me and my friends used to stay up all night sometimes playing PD on the n64 but I have yet to see a good review of the multi player on PDZ.
Neverwinter Nights, currently on the Shadows of Undrentide campaign.

The bots in the basic deathmatch and team deathmatch are reasonable. I like to be able to play with friends against bots when they have less experience on the game.
For non-bot games they have some nice variants besides capture the flag such as storm the fortress type games, protect the resources, etc.
City of Heros, City of Villians, Legacy of Kain- Defiance, Gun, Fantastic Four (a moment of weakness).
Sometimes I wonder if I game too much...

I doubt it.
Quote from: VarajI doubt it.
As long as you sleep and eat you don't game too much. Just don't pull a 72-hour straight online gaming session like some of those Koreans that died doing it.

Gun was a good fun game. I'd love a sequal.
I'd like to see a Gun game to the scale of Morrowind. As good as Gun is it's a rather short game and the world feels pretty empty.
For me got some Guild Wars going on and started playing Gladius on Xbox. Cool game that I missed when it first came out.
Mostly just city of villians, though I just downloaded eric the unready for a quick retro break.
I'm playing GTA: San Andreas. And I'll likely be playing it on and off for the next year. I'm in Las Venturas at the moment.Just started Rosenburg's missions.
Old arcade games on Gametap.
FEAR
Guild Wars (though I haven't logged on in a couple weeks)
Sacred Gold Edition

Neverwinter Nights too.
that is, I spent 3 hours convincing my computer that I truly honestly wanted it installed, then found out my videocard cannot handle it. but a new videocard is coming soon, so hopefully I'll finally be able to play... need RPG... badly...
to get into zombie gm mind, I got copies of resident evil, resedent evil 2, and silent hill 2....then grabbed dungeon siege and was playing it but got a bit bored..
im on a 98 machine so i cant play newer games, which sucks...

I had the same problem, or close enough. I had to give up on it after trying to play it for a month, since my computer won't handle it without some serious chug. I now have to use our gaming computer to play it.
Mostly old school style things (Battle for Wesnoth, Avernum 4 from Spiderweb Software), with a little NWN thrown in. I'm waiting for Civ4 for mac to come this summer.
City of Heroes mainly although I have City of Villans, it seems much slower and laggy compared with Heroes.
Call of Duty 2 for PC (so good).
Wild Arms 3 for PS2 (picked it up used, halfway through, fun).
Soon to be plugging in the old Dreamcast to play Grandia 2.
And I'd like to get into WoW, once I have the others completed. Or maybe back into the Sims 2 if I pick up the new expansion pack.
several of my friends did the unthinkable and went back to eq1

While that game has content out the wazoo, you couldn't pay me to go back and play that game.

Yep. It's a little easier to make plat, but it's still the same format: Kill, XP, Loot. Add in boring-ass quests, and you've got a game with suck written all over it.
Postal 2 mostly. Been playing arcade games with MAME too. Tried installing Redneck Rampage again but Windows XP and Build engine games don't mix. And as I rediscovered last night neither do cheap vodka and me.
Asteroids. :o

I re-instaled to play on the server that was set up for NTLers, and just while away time until NWN2 comes out. But the fucker kept crashing to desktop or rebooting the system. Longest I could play was 1/2 hour at a time. All my drivers are updated I even tried omega drivers for my video card and still no good. So I unistalled it and bought WoW.

Is this thing still going and if so, what's the addy et al?

If you were using an ATI video card thats your problem. ATI has had problems with NWN from the beginning and was uanble or unwilling to fix the problems.

Yep I do. I do recal from before that there was a certain catalyst driver which NWN ran smoothly with. I am not goping to go to such an old driver just to play NWN.
I had NWN plat installed on my pc and it worked fine, quit playing for a couple months went back to play it and the graphics were fucked up and i could not get them to work...
hm, seems I should have bought a different game...:( well I still have hope. I just told my brother what Knightcrawler said and unlike me he seems to have an inkling of what you're on about. so he will try to get me a non-ati videocard.:) he said it made sense (I guess it does to him...).
thanks Knightcrawler!
Last night I got my hands on Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords and I am loving it

I'm not sure whether it is still up. My guess is that it's not. But, if you are really interested and wanted to check, you need to get in touch with Nightfang.
If he's registered here, it's under a different name. You might try to see if he's registered at one of the other boards linked to at the bottom of the home page.
Hope that helps.

Thanks man. I'll look into it. I really wanted to play last week because I was on vacation. But I'm back to work now, so my goof-off time is severely limited.

Civilization IV - If the bastards would stop invading me, they would stop getting there civilizations destroyed, but they never listen.
Fable, Lost Chapters - I've finished the game on good, now I'm back on evil in the arena, rolling it for exp and gold.

neither will run on my pc...and i want both damn it.....so whats your longest chicken kick?? (friend of mine went on and on about that...)
I've been playing some Unreal Tournament 2004 under Linux recently on the new machine I just built up. It's been a good little tension breaker! I would play WoW, but I don't like the idea of a monthly fee to play a game.

Really couldn't tell you. I've never bothered with it.
My highest sustained combat multiplier is 48.

This behaviour is what keeps me away from Civ games. After playing Alpha Centauri and seeing the AI there actually behaving like humans I could never go back to Civ. Though I could see the appeal if one wants a clear, competitive, "boardgamey" feel to their game.

I thought this was the other thread too and only noticed when I couldn't find my most recent post.
Rocket League and Blood War 2, But I preffer RL little more. That what I actually do is a Trade in RL, I trade crates, keys and rare items for other crates, items and sometime keys.
I waste a lot of time for play RL and trying to be the best player in Europe on PC. I buy rl items and Rocket League crates at this store https://odealo.com/games/rocket-league
Any one playing warhammer total war? Is it good? I've been playing total war since shogun. I really like the series, but I don't have time to play much any more.

I have played the 1st one, and enjoyed it tremendously. I haven't played Warhammer II (yet).
I crunched through XCOM 2, then I made the mistake of getting the DLC, War of the Chosen and... whoops... I started giving it too much attention for a second round, dragging out the game play to ensure I got all the cool stuff done. My laptop really really didn't like the game though. Load times in and out of missions are absurd! Ten minutes sometimes!!!! I can get up and make a sandwich! Haven't tried it on the desktop yet, but then I've been waiting for the Plains of Eidolon to drop for Warframe there... and if they don't, that's where my modded Skyrim and Fallout 4 live. Can't risk it, you see...
I just picked up Super Mario Odyssey today for my family to play over the holidays.

I have that. The actual strategy wargame part is fun... The campaign management is kinda dull, hard to understand and un-intuitive.
I've not got Warhammer total war 2 yet.
Aside from EBII, I've also been re-playing Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, with the Restored Content Modification. There have only been a few new bits, but I'm sure all the bug fixes are making it smoother than it was originally.
I'm having loads of fun playing it "wrong" - instead of a bathrobe-wearer with a lightsaber, my main character is in the heaviest armour there is, with a pair of Ryyk blades and tossing grenades all over the place. He's basically Deathstroke. I only use the Force to patch up my party (I rarely get hurt wearing that much plate) and occasionally knock enemies down when they're numerous.
Cuphead. I suck at it, but it's a ton of fun.
I'm seriously tempted to get a 2DSxl to play Samus Returns.
I'm playing Planet Explorers (http://planetexplorers.pathea.net/) in Adventure Mode. I've been playing it since early access on Steam. It's pretty casual for a survival game, and I kind of like the crafting system. It's not bad if you like building with voxels. If you don't, you can get stuff people made in Workshop and just pay the resources to make them in game. That's mostly what I do because it's quicker and lets me get back to exploring and shooting dinosaur aliens.
I didn't have access to my PC or PS4 for months. Anything amazing to check out?
I play path of exile , for months now. It's free to play (completely f2p, no game changing microtrasnactions either). The best game for hack&slash hardcore fans:)
Since there are two identical threads, including the necroposted older one which has been resurrected, maybe the threads should be merged? Or one locked?

Horizon Zero Dawn. Watching that game makes me want to buy a PS4.
Just been playing a few indie RPGs on my Nintendo Switch at the moment.
The old Nerverwinter nights 1 license has been picked up by Beamdog.com.

I still have the original and NWN2 installed. I spent a lot of time in persistent worlds. I'll keep an eye open and see if this one is worth the purchase.

If you're a storyfag 2017 was glorious: Nier: Automata, Hellblade: Senua Sacrifice, and What Remains of Edith Finch are amazing. For gameplayfags, Persona 5 is good if you like the style, Xcom War of the Chosen is superb, and I've heard only good things of Horizon: Zero Dawn.
So many hours of Rising Storm 2 : Vietnam.
I've also started Skyrim again with some quality of life and lore focused mods, I've never actually finished the main quest line so I'm going to give that a go.
Picked up Vermintide II last night. Brutally fun.
It's Left For Dead + Overwatch PvE + RPG + Warhammer skin
Good times!
Currently playing: WoW Progression Raiding, Battlefield 1, Civ IV
Been playing some Tabetop simulator (http://store.steampowered.com/app/286160/Tabletop_Simulator/)
I played some DnD 5e using it and other various boardgames.
It's a lot of fun and for tabletop RPGs, better than Roll20.
Just started Vermintide II - WHOA! this is an awesome game. Brutal and butt-clenching. Good times!
