This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Video games - what are you playing?

Console, PC, whatever - what games are you playing? I think I need something new to waste my time on, as WoW and Civ4 fails to keep my attention for very long at a time.

Well, I haven't touched my XBOX in awhile but I'm still playing CAll of Duty and Battlefront II
He's no good to me dead.- Fett

Komba

WoW, and just started to mess around with Dungeon Siege II

Well, I was playing Evil Genius until my graphic card decided to burn out.

And I can't afford to by a new one for quite a while (Running on an ancient and borrowed card at the moment). :(
We have been hurt.
We are bleeding.
We will survive.
We will evolve.
We will become stronger.
We will become more than the sum of our parts.
We are The Damnation army.
We are Legion.

Dungeon Siege II would be an alternative. I enjoyed the first DS just fine.

Eldritch

I just picked up WoW this past weekend. I imagine I'll be playing this for a long time to come.

Komba

I'm not very far into it as of yet, but it is definitely fun.

You'll enjoy it if you liked the first one.  Since it's not brand new, you should be able to pick it up for a decent price also.

I got a brand new iBook G4 and a hacked version of NWN and I've having a blast. From reading the BioWare forums, there's a way to play the Diamond Ed on a Mac, so I'll probably spring for the $30 for that soon. Anybody here play, and on what server?

Ain't got the moolah for a console , don't have a TV to hook it up to either...
So , I'm playing my games on my computer and since I'm quite the old-fashioned gamer , it's still good 'ole turn-based strategy and RPGs for me (plus a few arcade-games)
Add into the mix , my machines are completely Micro$oft-free and you'll see how I end up playing "Battle For Wesnoth"(on my Linux-box) and "Return to Zork" , "Elite" , "Eye Of The Beholder" I , II & III , "Wingcommander"(I-IV) etc on my (DR-)DOS-box.

Janos

Civ 4, but debating the new Star Wars RTS game as well.

Knightcrawler

City of Villains, Dawn of War, and Unreal Tournament are pretty much my games of choice.  I need to get my copy of FarCry back froma friend so I can reinstall that.
Knightcrawler

"I Am Become Death, Destroyer Of Worlds"

I have been playing Perfect Dark Zero.  It is an amusing little game with a very quaint view of the future.  The multi-player is very fun.
  1. A robot may not harm a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
   2. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
   3. A robot must protect its own existence, as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

What kind of multi player options does it have. Me and my friends used to stay up all night sometimes playing PD on the n64 but I have yet to see a good review of the multi player on PDZ.

Elidia

Neverwinter Nights, currently on the Shadows of Undrentide campaign.
"suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness."

The bots in the basic deathmatch and team deathmatch are reasonable.  I like to be able to play with friends against bots when they have less experience on the game.

For non-bot games they have some nice variants besides capture the flag such as storm the fortress type games, protect the resources, etc.
