A compilation of the two BECMI/RC/Mystara-based side-scrolling beat-'em-up arcade classics, D&D: Tower of Doom and D&D: Shadows Over Mystara.
If you like both things (old school beat-'em-up arcade games + BECMI/RC/Mystara) I strongly recommend you to pick this up. Also hit me up for an online co-op game whenever you're in the mood (PM me for my Steam ID).
I am so effin' psyched with this that I may buy the four-pack; one for me, one for the wife, and two others to gift to anyone who'd play with us. :D
Well, if you cut me in on that four-pack action, you could probably twist my arm into a game or six...

Too late! All copies taken. :)
Holy crap, this game is awesome. I thought I was looking back with rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia but no. This game is the [strike]flask of flaming oil[/strike] bomb.
The forking paths (in a 1993 arcade beat-'em-up side-scroller? Huge deal). The sea troll boss regenerating if you don't finish him with fireball or flaming oil. The traps! I opened a chest and we were fucking petrified.
Lethality? Well, technically you have infinite "continue" options but it's kind of refreshing to see the words "game over" on a screen. Been a while since I saw this. Hell, the kids can come over and cry all day about how tough Dark Souls 2 is when Capcom or Steam or whoever starts charging a quarter for each "continue" like the good ol' days.
Pipe dream: I would so play an update of this game. Just better graphics. Keep gameplay as is. And charge something every time you die, like dock an experience level or something. That'll teach 'em.
;)
I recently played through them with a buddy on my Xbox. I too was surprised at how good they were.
Not quite TMNT good but really good fun.
If you ignore totally OP wizards ;)
NOOO! Why do I have to be broke nowwww!
Darn it, I love those games.

It was worth a shot. :D
Noticed it last night on the Playstation Store, and wondered how it held up.
Looks like I need to free up some funds... ;)
