This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Naturally, the game has come under fire by the twitterati for featuring female characters with... large tracts of land.

I do think society has a problem with simultaneously sexualizing and demonizing women with large breasts. But SJWs are hypocrites: they call for a diversity of body types to be represented but demonize any body types that don't fit their misogynistic parameters.

I heard about this game, but isn't this a VN?  Or is it a JRPG?...
(Most of my GFs had these, and I can attest to the absolute HATRED given to them by so-called 'femynists'! So, no surprise there ~ especial after all the Uzaki-chan bullshite!)

It's an old-school adventure game.

It got an influx of street cred by publicly refusing to bow to the twitterati.

On another note...

Rather than criticizing men for unfairly sexualizing a woman for having large breasts (something she can't control and doesn't like), the outrage mob demonizes large-breasted women as a secular whore of Babylon. The irony is that society already does this by perceiving large-breasted women as useless for anything but casual sex, which is insanely misogynistic.

Blah blah blah #FreeTheNipple.

These misogynistic attitudes are why increasing numbers of women, especially young women, are identifying as men or non-binary and lopping off their perfectly healthy breasts.

For once I would like the diversity of the female body to be portrayed without sexualization or body-shaming.

The dev made a receipt of the death threats because they were accused of lying.

I'm not sure if this is my kind of game - and I'm not generally too fond of exaggerated fan service - but I'm willing to buy it simply to support devs that do not bow down to the bullying SJW mob.
That's rare enough.

It's not a porno or anything. The large breasted sprites are a cynical attempt to attract buyers. According to advertising statements, this is supposed to be a cynical statement on society's sexualization of women's bodies and how a cyberpunk world would exacerbate that problem. Which is unfortunately quite believable.

Well, it doesn't matter to me! I love VNs, SNs, and point-and-click adventure games! I've read most of Gibson's Cyberpunk work as well! I'm also definitely NOT a weeb, and my waifu is definitely not in Danganronpa, and I am not hoplessly insane!

Reminds me of SNATCHER a little bit ~ the vibe I mean.  :)
