This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Blast! Everybody's getting it but me!

Let's recap... maybe I'll see something I missed...

Man enters his house, turns on the lights, then kills himself.

When he first entered the home, he wasn't planning on killing himself - he killed himself because of something he saw when he turned on the lights.

There were other people in the house, whom he saw when he turned on the lights. These people consisted of at least one man and one woman. The man and his deceased wife knew them.

That day, the man celebrated an anniversery of some kind, perhaps a wedding anniversery or a birthday.

The corpse of his wife was in the house before he killed himself. The man is the one who killed her, though he did so elsewhere.

Is this recap accurate, as far as it goes?
Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways, it's still rock and roll to me.

You can talk all you want about theory, craft, or whatever. But in the end, it's still just new ways of looking at people playing make-believe and having a good time with their friends. Intellectualize or analyze all you want, but we've been playing the same game since we were 2 years old. We just have shinier books, spend more money, and use bigger words now.

Yes, but rearrange it a bit...

A man kills his wife somewhere away from home.

It is his birthday or anniversary.

He is not planning on killing himself.

He goes home.

His wife's body is there (we just found out he brought it with him).

He turns on the lights and discovers several people in his home -- at least one man and one woman.

He and his wife, had she still been alive, recognize them.

He kills himself.

Were the people in the house waiting to throw him a surprise party?

OK, so that's motive for killing himself - they saw him with the body, he couldn't live with himself, etc. Right?

I'm still missing
1) Why he killed her
2) How he killed her

to properly solve the riddle. Right?

Nope...  It really doesn't matter.

The riddle is: Why did he kill himself?
