SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

As long as it's not the pile of crap that the sequel was...  Talk about disappointed!  I loved XCOM!  And then they gave us that completely bogus story and put it underwater.  What a waste!

Interesting. I usually never drop by this forum, but saw this in the latest threads. One of my favorite old obsessions.
The Secret Volcano Base: my intermittently updated RPG blog.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!
Playing: Sigh. Nothing.
Planning: Some Cyberpunk thing, system TBD.

Trully this is something every Xcom fan has been waiting for a decade, it looks so promising, but I must agree that given the fact that the last games that tried to resemble the original xcom (think of UFO:Aftershok & UFO:Aftermath both of them ended up being utter crap) and not to mention the last 2 installments of the Xcom saga, Xcom Interceptor (wich had the most horrible space sim combat system ever) and Xcom Enforcer (not even a strategy, just one of the worst action games ever made), actually I finished Xcom Enforcer, (don't ask me why, 'cause even I don't know the reason:p )
So let's hope this time we do get to play a worthy Xcom sucessor.
