* at launch: one color, 1 configuration, $250 Nov 19.
* Comes with one controller and Wii sports (which includes Golf, Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, and the just announced : Boxing).
* Interfacees with WiFi internet through different Wii channels. The online component comes free of charge.
* The Wii is a fully functional Web Browser channel.
* Zelda is a Launch title!
* Nintendo Unveiled Mii's: Little Avatars you create using the Mii channel, with facial features and clothes. Used in games like Wii sports and Wario Ware. They save to your controller, so you can easily bring you Mii to a friends house.
* Games: $50 Wiimote: $40 Nunchuck: $20 Standard Controller (Snes Style): $20.
* 4 Million Wii's before the CALENDAR years end. Most of these will come to the US.
* First Wii multiplayer online game...Pokemon Battle!
Seriously, I might just get back into console gaming. Plus Nintendo has a ton of kid-friendly titles, which would be cool for my daughter and her friends (in small doses).

Yes there is a bit of memory in the controller. However, there are memory cards, I think it usues the same kind as the Gamecube.

I have a PS2 I haven't used in a year, but the Wii could really get me hooked again.
