This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ghost Whistler

I'm thinking about trying to figure out how to play this game (again). I tried it before but the lack of readable manual and the game's irreverence in the face of what i assumed was hard SF (well hardish) was too much for me.

I see there are a few different editions of the game and it's expansions: ultimate edition, gold edition and, only in the EU I believe, the endless universe package. Does anyone know the differences?
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

Endless Universe is a stand-alone containing Dark Avatar, And Twilight of the Arnor, and you don't need Dread Lords (or dark avatar) to play, so you can just get this edition right off the shelf and play. And yes, it's only in EU.

Gold is dread lords and dark avatar

Ultimate is dread lords, dark avatar, and twilight of the arnor
