This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I was pretty hot for this game.  I haven't played in a while, but today I was browsing the store and found the castle pack, the new big units/dragon pack, the ice terrain pack, and expansion 5.  Of course, I snagged them all.

As soon as I saw the castle pack I wished I had more money so I could buy several and create the Tower of the High Clerist from Dragonlance.

Anyone else playing?

I have all of my pieces in a large wheeled cart for easy transport. Darn shame I'm lacking the funds at the moment to get the castle. It's been a must have for me since I saw the pics for it.

set up is the most tedious part. I make my son do it. thats what sons are for, doin the tedious stuff.
but the game is well worth the effort. the mechanics are simple enough, but the special abilities of the units and the unique figures are where the strategy and complexity come in. every unit has at least one special ability. all together about 1 1/2 - 2 hours for a game. and the loser has to take down the board. and the figures are sweet looking. my son uses one of the Samurai figures for his D&D play.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading. –Source Unknown

I've played only a bit but I've decided to not even try to set up boards exactly like they are in written scenarios - just slam pieces together for an interesting board and them let players pick starting points.
