This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I'm pretty curious about this one. Having spent a lot of years on some sort of MMO or MMO-like game since the early 2000s I think my days of 'playing multiplayer online games more hardcore' are behind me(I left WoW about a year ago), but I'm a little curious about how this goes. I like some of the ideas, but I'm a little bit skeptical on if it'll come together how I picture it. Then again I tend to be a little skeptical about new MMOs in general; I don't think they'll never necessarily be bad, but so many of them have had the shiny wear off after a month or three.

Necroing the thread to ask if anyone's gotten in on the beta. I've signed up, my SO has, and so have several of our friends, but I've yet to hear of anyone getting in.

I got into one of the beta weekends a few weeks ago, maybe a month? I am bad with remembering dates.

So it is possible to get in.

I only got one single email invite to one weekend beta test; have not gotten anything since.

I've played most of the Elder Scrolls single-player games and also messed around with their toolkit, and I'm really curious to see what pieces of their technology make it into the MMO. I'm guessing they'll need to scale back some on the pretty visuals, but I could be wrong about that.
