This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

This is some AMAZING stuff and you get to see the diorama come together bit by bit by following the link to various threads describing the whole process:

Holy crap, I recognize that map. If memory serves, I used to have it as a Heritage Miniatures map/game.

Oh, wow. That's awesome AND inspiring.
At least to me, being a former diehard HeroQuest and Warhammer fan...

My character sheet was inexistant, and when I hastly made one the GM didn\'t care to have a look at it."

It was basically the precursor to HQ.

You have a party of adventurers. When you entered a room, you randomly rolled to see what was in it (giant spider, hobgoblin, etc)...certain rooms had certain things more likely. The big room in the middle was the dragon's lair (I think there was a chance of a vampire there....been over 30 years since I played).

Treasure was random, too, from gold to *gasp* a +1 sword!

Combat was d6. Each character had his own modifier; knight was d6 +3. YOu rolled attack, the other defense, difference was damage, if I recall correctly. A fun and quick system, and musta played dozens of times.
