This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Greetings, Warlord!

Who knows Warlords?
I love the original one, one of the best balanced maps. Warlords II was nice, but somehow didn`t really get me addicted.

You can download them for free, and they have pbe-mail capability...

I was thinking on getting Warlords IV, I never got to play the first ones, but this one has some good reviews.

Only the first one really rocks.

Look here:

and give it a try.

Why does the first installation rock so hard?
Because the map is awesomely balanced and tactically challenging.
Less options means more fun.

Spike

I think I played II mostly, with the helmet that appeared on the screen and announced when battles approached.

God, i loved that.

I have somewhere III and maybe IV, but I think they did away with the helmet of doom... and now I am a sad, warlord-less pika.... :(
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.
