Theyre doing a 5K run at GenCon. Tickets are already sold out but you can show up and run along, which is what I plan. And I will definitely buy a ticket if they make more available. What a cool idea.
That's only 3.1 miles. I haven't done much running this year, (I got injured by a goose! True story...) but I am going to try and work back up to it- did plenty of running in the Army. So my drow LFR adventuring company actually has a banner- a vinyl outdoor-quality woven banner with the house colors on it that we ordered- we often put it up at Gamedays or "away games" when we visit some other venue as a group. I am putting together a new Adventuring Company for GenCon and I thought it would be cool to run with the new banner.
I won't run in costume, (dude, I'll die! haha) but it would be fun with the flag.
Anyone else want to do this? I think it will be fun. Tyranically, of course. As is my custom.

That plan AM linked to is a good one... I used it to get myself back up to speed a couple years ago, though I had to repeat a couple of weeks in the middle.
We could do a RPGsite group and spend the entire run swearing at people and calling them all swine :)
(AM how do you work back up to a 5K run its like the minimum you would start at to work up to something?)
