This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

lol i like how amazon claims its only available in the US yet im pretty damn sure ive seen it offered on a few UK rpg sites recently so obviously they must have figured out some kind of deal amazon could'nt, i agree though its far to comicbookey for my tastes....if they did a Tarrasque in that scale however then i may be interested.

Simlasa

That's kinda fugly.... and for that price there are MUCH nicer big demon miniatures to be had.

beeber

i like it, but i'd never spend that kind of cash on a mini--especially one that i probably will never get to use (no group, etc.).  :idunno:

Doom

Sorry, I already have Cthulhu.

Having 2 oversided demonic overlord miniatures? That's just gay, so not for me. :P

Aesthetically speaking, that model does absolutely nothing for me.
"In a way, the Lands of Dream are far more brutal than the worlds of most mainstream games. All of the games set there have a bittersweetness that I find much harder to take than the ridiculous adolescent posturing of so-called \'grittily realistic\' games. So maybe one reason I like them as a setting is because they are far more like the real world: colourful, crazy, full of strange creatures and people, eternal and yet changing, deeply beautiful and sometimes profoundly bitter."

Effin' saved!  I love that style.  Reminds me of the etchings in some printings of The Divine Comedy.

Btw, what book is that from?

Aaah. Gustave Doré's art. You and me both, Peregrin! I am a HUGE fan of those.

The piece comes from The Dragon (magazine). I think it's in one of the Best of the Dragon volumes (there are two). Can't remember which one right off the bat.

Yeah, that's the Orcus I remember - kinda round, complacent-looking. Clearly hasn't worked out in a few thousand years. Wimpy looking Rod - pfeh, we're supposed to be afraid of that? We can take him!

...

Yeah.

Also, I picked up a 4e Balor figure on eBay for about $20.00 that look a lot better than that... thing. Just sayin'.

Did I see $95?  It's alright but (other than the price), it just doesn't fill me with dread.

Well, the full image is a little weirder, due to a busty sacrifice lady.

That, and I like the more goat/ram demon look.  The new one just looks...like an unformed muzzle?  Idk.

Then again, I grew up here in NJ, so we're all about the classical goofy looking demons/devils since one supposedly makes a habitat of the Pine Barrens.

It looks nicer in person. The picture doesn't do it justice...
