SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Doom

I got something about this in my inbox a few days back, perhaps this will help:

March 11, 2015  -  The glory days of  "Gold Box"  fantasy role-playing games are about to make a huge comeback, as Tactical Simulations Interactive (TSI) has today announced a release date for "Seven Dragon Saga" for PC, Mac and Linux. The TSI team is comprised of veteran developers and alumni from Strategic Simulations Interactive (SSI) who worked on fantasy RPG classics including "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Pool of Radiance", "AD&D Curse of the Azure Bonds" and "Wizards Crown."

Seven Dragon Saga is a classically styled RPG based upon an original pen and paper role-playing system designed by Strategic Simulations Interactive (SSI) alumni Keith Brors and David Shelley.

Self-funded for most of its development, Seven Dragon Saga has launched on Kickstarter today to fund the final round of production. The Kickstarter can be found here.  Backer rewards include special items such as DRM-free copies of Seven Dragon Saga, Code Wheels to assist players in solving puzzles in-game, Journals containing more info about the game world and copies of the pen 'n paper version of the game.

A nice education blog.

If that's your cup of tea, you'd enjoy this:

Every SSI abandonware game, available to play online

I'll follow this with interest. I do miss the older approach to crpgs.

Now if only someone would do some more Kings Quest style adventure games!
