This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). Yet another super gorgeous $100 boardgame with amazing minis...

It's Legends of the Five Rings meet Shogun, aka Anime Fantasy Risk.

Everybody is gonna be kung fu fighting.

I've read through the rules info and it appears both solid and dripping with flavor.

And did I mention the minis were insanely detailed?

Embarrassed to say I backed this.  Now available on Amazon at $20 off retail, and I haven't received my kickstarter copy.  Apparently some shipped in February this year (!), but a number of backers are commenting on Kickstarter they haven't received their copy so I'm not alone.  I haven't received any communication at all about a delay, and CMON has apparently gone radio silent on Kickstarter itself, though may still be posting on Facebook.

CMON Games:  never again.

The retail version isn't the KS version. We got loads of extra stuff.

Hit up CMON using KS and their own site. Don't post requests to CMON in the comment sections. Many people do that thinking the comment section is read by the company. Post KS, that's just fan wank space.

And if you don't hear back in 2-3 days through KS, contact KS itself and ask for help / report CMON.

It's a GREAT game and I hope you get your copy promptly. It's totally Anime Fantasy Risk and I've played 3 games so far, enjoying each notably (I won once with my Turtles).

Interesting. Post KS, all the other places I've posted or seen comments posted have responded quickly to comments, suggestions, or questions. So, I'd say that's just a lack of professionalism on their part. But, in general, yes, emailing, messaging, or calling direct is a much better route.

I got my rewards a while back. I did the $100 Daimyo level and am very happy with the KS cost/benefit compared to the post-KS retail boxes: 20 extra minis, a bunch of stuff as nice plastic instead of cardboard. The Fox Clan extra alone was worth it for us, as that is my wife's favorite.
