This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Once of the mad lads over on the X-Wing minatures forum did an extensive test on his X-Wing dice, and found that manufacturing flaws created a bias in the dice rolls.
Now, at the price point of mass market gaming dice, there was likely to be some bias, but he found up to a 5% bias on one of the dice! This is more than the influence of some game mechanics!

I'm sure this kind of bias exists in all mass market gaming dice, but I wasn't sure exactly how much to expect. I thought some might find this interesting.
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

I remember a similar issue with GW's dice for Warhammer many years ago. Makes sense mass produced cheap dice would have bias issues.

Pretty sure the GW ones still have this issue.

...or my friend just rolls like shit all the time. Constanty. With re-rolls.
