This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

My jam right now is Battle Brothers. I think the denizens of this forum would appreciate it a lot. Its a pretty good indie, bit cryptic to get started with but once you get your bearings, its addictive as shit. Its good enough that I believe it deserves its own thread.

I recommend Veteran Iron Man mode (I recommend archiving your saves occasionslly in case you a seriously bad run of luck)) and low starting resources. It actually feels like you're running a medieval mercenary company -- past a certain point, rookies become expendable and until they're hardended, merely receive the leftover armament. Also, don't feel you have to complete risky contracts: you're running a business, not playing hero. And don't bother taking extermination jobs until you've got all mailed up, lvl up'd guys -- stick to caravan and delivery gigs in the early game. Sweet game.
