I'm building a marine squad because I can and I'm out of guard until Friday :)

A converted Sargent. Need to fill a couple gaps.

EDIT: I started painting them because I'm weak :o

Er, I didn't, at least not intentionally. Let me check it out...

Edit: okay, no idea why that happened, but here they are again...

Rat-Hulks

Here's some more I just snapped...

Completed Rat-Hulks

With a size comparison...

Here's my finished Warlock Engineer. Need a better camera, he turned out really well...

And finished Warpfire Thrower and in-progress Poisoned Wind Mortar...

Love this guy, he's a musician with a little rat riding on a bell. Pics blurry but...

...you can almost seem him better in this lineup of my newly painted Stormvermin unit...

Oh , and check this out. Neighbour left it out for the trash man last night but I snagged it (and washed it thoroughly). Great start for a castle, I'm thinking even going in a Japanese temple direction...

Here's the completed army thus far

This is from 2 Island of Blood sets plus an oop Grey Seer figure (have to buy the Bell to get the current model), and 2 Reaper Plague Doctors. Though the IoB technically only comes with Clanrats, there was enough diversity in the figures that I was able to create smaller proxy units for when I need them, allowing me some pretty good flexibility for the smaller 500  - 750 games we're playing ( we decided to pretty strictly pace ourselves with the amount of money we throw at GW). Clanrats and Slaves I painted with some diversity in colour schemes so not only could they fill in the ranks of other units, if I want a large block of say Plague Monks, but I could also mix them into big blocks of Slaves/CR w/o it looking jarring.

So, to the far right is my Stormvermin unit

Beside them, a group of Plague Monks with the Plague Banner

Clanrats

5 Gutter Runners

Then slaves...

Our old friends The Rat-Hulks, with a Master Moulder

Warpfire Thrower and Poisoned Wind Mortar

And the Heroes/Lords...

A few slightly better pics...

And to wrap it up, here's a look back at how it all began a month ago...

So do you have the elves from the box as well to paint or did you split the box with someone?

When I bought it at the local GW store they actually did the trade out there. I guess it happens a lot that people either just want one or the other. Was originally planning to give the elves to my GF, but she decided she liked the LOTR elves better, so got her some boxes of those.
