This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Anyone played the beta for the ps3 version?

Can an mmo work on a console?

Can this mmo work on a console?

After all wow started out at 4gb data and has ballooned to 25gb. Is it reasonably to expect the same for DCU (though i can't see that lasting 6 years); there's bound to be updates.

Is it worth trading my 360 in for a ps3. I so want to play this! Fucking microshaft!
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

There are already MMO's on the console--Phantasy Star Universe which is huge in Japan is available here as well, and has a few players. Not enough to guarantee regular support. It works just fine. Although highly repetitive game play and lots of grinding.

DC is set up for the PS3 controller but works fine on a computer keyboard and mouse.

I'd wait for awhile with DCUO as the powersets are very limited atm and some powers are locked out till higher levels as iconics (so no super strength or thunderbolt as they are iconics)

Also Finla Fatasy 11 is on xbox 360 but good luck finding a disc for it in the UK these days(sales sucked so they only make em for the US nowadays)

I think you cannot compare a DCU with a ps3 as both are different and personally I prefer the ps3 because the DCUO hasn't that many options as the ps3 and I am sure that the ps3 is more popular among the players. But that is just my 2 cents!!

This is spam or a bot or something, right?

Because DCU Online is a game available on the PS3 and all.
