This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I'm glad people are working on actual afrofantasy rather than trying to churn out more bland eurofantasy with a thin veneer of progressivism.

Isn't Riot owned by Tencent?  If so this game is going to cater to what China wants and people are not going to like what China wants.

The devs said they're going to include "non-binary" alongside male and female during character creation. All three have different character models.

I don't think China would okay that.

Also, I have no clue what they mean by "non-binary" if it gets its own character model. Do they mean hermaphrodites with both a penis and a vagina?

That would be quite hilarious, but I'm pretty sure that just means a body type that isn't clearly identifyable as either male or female.
I.e. no big boobs or very broad shoulders, etc. of course depending on their art style.

Kind of like how City of Heroes had male, female, and 'xbawkshueg'? :D

Other words stick to Kevin Crawford's Spear of Dawn.
