Long story short, my father in law bought a Wii and we have been playing Wiisports and Wiiplay, more of the Wiisports...anyway, I have seen a few rpgs for it...any experience with them?
Ummm...I can only think of a few RPG's in general.
Opoona is getting mixed reviews. There some that love it's quikiness, and some that hate it's simplicity.
DragonQuest Swords is in the same boat.
There's some great stuff on the Virtual Console (Fantasy Star springs to mind) though.
Legend of Zelda is pretty simple but well worth it. I spent 50 hours playing it and can't say it got bored at any time. One or twice I had to look quizzically at the TV and wonder if someone had put acid in my tea, though! ;)
Depends what you want in an RPG. If you want something of a Sandbox game like Oblivion, then nothing even comes close on the Wii. If you want a more action oriented game where you have some freedom then Zelda: Twilight Princes is really fun.
If you want a sort of old school encounter to encounter group style rpg then Fire Emblem is good, you go battle to battle collect equipment and keep chugging along.
If you want more story driven games then there are a two really good survival horror style games Resident Evil 4 and Obscure: The aftermath that are really good in the survival and horror faction.
Just depends on what you are looking for when you say RPG.
Adventure games, maybe..
But RPGs..... On the Wii?:confused:
OK...I'll add the caveat that it's for 6 and 7 years olds (and up)...Zelda still good, I assume? Others?
I'll just go the ol' rental route since I don't see a lot of choices. Thank God for PS2 and PC for CRPGs for all their glory and faults.
As the Wii accepts Gamecube games, you could get older stuff like Skies of Arcadia (great game) or Summoner.
If you use GC games, you'll need a GC controller and GC memory card.
Which I didn't realise when I bought myself RE:Zero :(
