Although the game (http://www.ageoffable.net) is still unfinished and under construction, I've just hit an important milestone in writing it.
As of today, it's now possible to reach a successful ending and win the game.
I'll be adding at least a few other successful endings over the next couple of months.
I've been updating it daily for the last little while. So if you haven't looked at it for a while, have a look now. You're likely to find some new stuff there.
Pretty cool. Congrats are in order, I guess! :)
Thanks :)
Congratulations! I look forward to trying it out later this month. :)
I, as well. Congratulations!
Thanks both of you.
Congrats. Age of Fable is something I'll come back to every few months or so, having forgotten it, and enjoy a great deal. It's always fun to dive back in and now there's even more content there I'll be sure to do so again!
I did play a quick game and enjoyed it immensly. Very realxing to keep it on it's own tab and make a move every few minutes in between work disasters.
I love the concept and the choice of artwork.
How easy will it be to manage the content? I assume it's based on a database. Will it be easy to customize the traits for an alternative version?
My amazon died! I feel heartbroken. sob

You can look at the sourcecode here:

And yes, it'd be easy enough to have different attributes. You'd have to know a bit about programming to do it properly though, and to be honest there are probably easier engines for writing gamebook-style games.

Thanks! I could turn that into a slogan:
"Age of Fable: the fantasy CRPG that's consistently forgettable" :D

Yeah...gamebooks are, generally, much deadlier than pen-and-paper role-playing games.

It provides a way to experience a completely different set of disasters :)
Age of Fables is excellent, it's good to see quality being recognised.
Thanks :)
I'm glad that you've kept developing.
I played far many hours a while back with several different characters (not all of whom died) and saw most of the scenes. I'll have to try it again soon once I get more time.
And now that I have met him, I can nag him personally for the setting book :D
Here you go! That's what we need. Go ahead and nag him. :D
Thanks Nicephorus!
Kyle and Benoist, I actually have made copious notes for a setting book. I've also found, and done a budget for, artwork and printing.
I'm planning to start laying it out once the online game is finished (this year).
Wooooooo!
Maybe you should GM on Wednesday instead :D
