This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

This almost sounds like one of Sorensen's "April Fools games," but that wasn't the one for this year.

For as much as I really like InSpectres, a lot of his other stuff really leaves me cold.  Most of 'em, now that I think about it.

Yet another game who wants to hamstring the GM role. Basically. Admittedly this also hampers players. Just not fond of Jared's games. I played early InSpectres games ages ago. Yet he continued to move into "I hate gamers" at that time. (I know he meant what this site calls fatbeards, but still. No reason to be an ass.)

You mean like every other Forge game?
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans

huh, my buddy already does this same thing via chat routinely. I could see this being 30 minutes of entertainment with more beer, less pretzels.  might end with 10 GOTO PUNCHFACE though. ;)

The main problem with government is the difficulty of pressing charges against its directors.

Given a choice of two out of three M&Ms, the human brain subconsciously tries to justify the two M&Ms chosen as being superior to the M&M not chosen.

I bought it when I ordered my copy of Lacuna and played it last time my group got together.  Everyone had fun.  Sure it's only a one-shot, but it was a hoot.

Hell, I was gonna pick it up, but it's not available. :/
He needs to bundle both in a 3.5" diskette-sleeve (sliced open diskette-as-sleeve with a Parsley sticker) and I'd buy them both. :D

Hardly, given that this game isn't even an RPG. And on that note, I'll be moving this to some other forum.

Play OD&D, make up your own puzzles, challenge the player's wits, not the character's stats.

There. Done. And this is still a RPG.

An Android GM who understands a limited amounts of "commands"? WTF?

Thanlis

I, uh, don't see anyone claiming it's an RPG. *checks the site* Nope, Jared doesn't say it's an RPG, Mistwell didn't say it was an RPG. He did start the thread in the wrong forum.

Fucking thing makes a lousy cup of coffee, too.
