This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). i was young some i don't remember much details.

i played the game on a 91 packard bell so it has to be older than that.

it is a RPG.

I believe the game starts with the main character(man) waking up in the locked hull of a big ship.  he then has to figure out clever ways to get out by combining items found on the ship.

i also remember a tunnel leading to a big house with more steps to get through different stages of the house.  i believe he ends up back on the topside of the boat in the end.   might even be a female character found along the way.

at some point in the game you make  battery  to get through a door, i could be wrong.  i remember having to combine lots of items to make 1 single item.  i like games like that and wouldn't mind finding more like it.

i know i very vague but i was young.

thank you so much in advance.

Blackmoor grew from a single Castle to include, first, several adjacent Castles (with the forces of Evil lying just off the edge of the world to an entire Northern Province of the Castle and Crusade Society's Great Kingdom.

That came out in '97, I can't believe a Packard Bell would still be working 6 years later

I was thinking maybe Alone in the Dark 2?

it was neither of those 2 games, thank you though.

also it did have lots of text to read when you found items and what not.  you had an inventory list as well.

i saw a game called amnesia, the plot sound very similar but it is not that game.

also worth noting there is absolutely no fighting in this game.  hardly any characters from what i recall

Was it purely text or did it have some graphics?
IE: Like the Sierra games tended to be graphical, but also text and inventory and little to no fighting.
