This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Click here for preview, more info, or to place your pre-order.

Here's what playtesters have said:
" We played for 2 solid hours and had a hilarious time throughout... Chargen is just a flat-out blast..."

"I never thought I would hear this, but my wife actually wants to try the game out... the system became transparent, and second nature to everyone. "

"This was perfect for people like me who don't have a lot of time to run a complex game like D&D but want that feel."

FYI, in case you missed the email notification, those who pre-ordered can download the PDF, which is also now available for sale. I got hit with a ton of snow this weekend, so shipping has been delayed slightly -- more info here.

Looking good and the options of play (solo, GM etc.) good too. The look reminds me of WFRP, which is a good thing. I see Rogue, Warrior and Wizard, so how is healing done is this game and is it very lethal combat + slow recovery?

Is this an open ended set or is there something like a level cap? About how many sessions to reach any such ceiling? Is all the paper like the What's In This Box parchment style sheet?

Also the sample pages link popup pane was south of center with about 1/5th cut off below the edge of the main browser window. I couldn't move the preview pane nor resize it. I was still able to view all of the preview by scrolling but it was awkward. Firefox 3.6 Windows 7.

I can't currently test for Windows 7 compatibility, but I'm getting a little tired of Windows always screwing things up. It is surprising that Firefox is also involved. :(

Anyway, Wizards can heal. The clerics were left out for simplicity. There are no levels or caps, just experience add-ons like signature weapons/spells and bonuses. It's also done that way to keep it simple. Only the read-me is on parchment.

Some people asked about Clerics in the game. While I don't feel they are necessary for this game, I put together some guidelines for using Clerics:
