This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I have a ProBoard set up for Olde School, The Citadel of Chaos.  I tried a sub-board structure to see how things go with that, and if it doesn't make people want to claw their eyes out, I will do something in that direction when I move to the big time of setting up a domain and regular forum software.  Likely a portal, definately files, possibly blogs.

So, delve into the Citadel and see how it looks.

Looks good, but for Classic D&D, I'm surprised that there is no separate forum for B/X D&D (the Moldvay/Cook rules from 1981; the version with the Erol Otus covers).  It would make sense to have a separate forum for that version, since its rules differ somewhat from BECMI/RC D&D.

In contrast, I don't understand why BECMI and RC have separate forums, since they're pretty much identical.

Yeah, it's kind of tricky, like Traveller.  I was thinking of merging RC and BECMI anyway, I guess Moldvay/Cook is just as good a category.

I was shooting for the 80s era stuff, it seems to be a bit under-represented, so the whole Holmes edition thing is a bit outside of that, but I didn't notice it getting any love anywhere else, and it makes the D&D category look a bit fuller.  Now I need to find a few more boards for the AD&D category.

Don't feel too badly, I didn't realize how close it was to the start of school myself.  :)

If you just want to get some discussions going until you have something put together, that is great too!

Hey, we have some planets for use with Traveller posted!  Star Frontiers information, links to the Star Frontiersman, as well as links to download retro-clones and classic games materials.  Soon, the alpha version of Alternate Character Sets, my own OSRIC contribution, will be posted!

Don't be the last one to get in on the Olde School action!
