This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

This one's from the cast of the excellent Save or Die old school D&D podcast, I think around 1:00 in.

The youtube link doesn't work correctly.  Is it possible the URL is different if you were signed in when you copy/pasted it?

On one hand, I have it in my review queue.

On the other hand, my overall competence factor has disappeared suddenly.

I was all set to Get More Stuff Done this week.   I have had two days now of stumbling along blindly and accomplishing a lot of nothing...:o  I have WANTED to...but this week is rapidly turning into a loss for me, unfortunately...=(

Yeah, unfortunately with a deadline looming, two days of doing nothing hasn't done a thing to relieve my stress...=)

The Blood Moon Rising review from Save or Die starts at 1:03:40. Pointing it out for people who want to jump to the pertinent part.

There are some things from the crew I agree with, some others that made me scratch my head, and some stuff I will mention but they did not. I'm going to go into it with my own review, which will be spoiler heavy, compared to Tetsubo's, and more comparable to SoD's in that regard, but really our different takes highlights how DMs are different and will pickup on different things, which makes all these reviews really useful for DMs considering buying this adventure of course, but also to Pete and prospective module authors who can then separate the wheat from the chaff on their own for further development. It's good food for thought.

It's cool.

Awesome Benoist. I'm really looking forward to your thoughts. I'm currently working on a second adventure, this one with more of a horror theme, that I hope to have finished in time for Halloween, so your feedback will be a big help.

And yes, it's very interesting how different dms can come away from the same text with different issues. I was really shooting for an epic-feeling low-level adventure with this, and tried to make use of some things you don't typically see at lower levels, especially with the monsters. Mainly I was trying to get away from dungeon crawls and common monsters like goblins and giant rats and such. I think I just need to present things a little more clearly in the future.
