SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Today we released the first of our content previews for EXTREME EARTH featuring Tommy O'Sullivan AKA Hammer, one of the five members of the Wolfpack.

Hammer is an example of what you can expect for each of the main characters in the EXTREME EARTH campaign setting in terms of layout, background information, stat blocks, and most importantly, how the artwork and text work seamlessly together in the book.

Here's a link to an update with more information and a Dropbox link to all seven versions of the PDF, one for each of our supported game systems

Quote from: 3rik;741795I get the impression your Q&A's generate more interest in the products that are being talked about, though it's impossible to estimate how much exactly.

Yeah, I'd like to think so, but as you say, it's pretty hard to know.

In any case, I have the Extreme Earth folks on the schedule now for Thursday 4/17 at 7 p.m. CST.
The Hardboiled GMshoe\'s Office: game reviews, Randomworlds Q&A logs, and more!

Randomworlds TTRPG chat: friendly politics-free roleplaying chat!

thanks for making that happen, Dan.

BTW - we've had some requests to see more on the history/backstory of the Extreme Earth setting.
So - we're releasing this: the almost completely laid-out first chapter of the book.
It contains a bunch of new art, a timeline and a description of the current political environment on Extreme Earth with special attention paid to hot spots and crises.

new Update

QuoteHey Folks!

I wanted to post this update sooner, but a nasty spring cold managed to take the wind out of my sails this weekend. We've had quite a few requests about how to go about getting additional print copies of the book, so we've decided to offer the following add-on:

If you back the EXTREME EARTH Kickstarter at the FIST HEAVY HITTER level or higher to get your first print copy of the book, you may add-on an additional $35 US for a second print copy. For shipping outside the US, please add $15 for each book you order (so $30 shipping for two books, $45 for three books etc.). And if you were one of the first 10 FIST RAPID RESPONDERS who added on to get a first print copy, you may take advantage of this offer as well.

You may purchase additional print copies for the same game system or different game systems. Just be sure to let us know when we send out our backer survey which game system(s) you need!

Thank you all again for you continued support of EXTREME EARTH!

Best,

Joe Bardales and the EXTREME EARTH Development Team

Hey - in other news - the happy Canadians on the Accidental Survivors podcast recently had Joe Bardales on to talk about Black Ops Supers as a genre, including:

  • Garth Ennis' the Boys.
  •    Warren Ellis' run on Secret Avengers.
  •    Captain America: the Winter Soldier.
  • And, of course, Extreme Earth.

1) just 7 days left in the Kickstarter and we're about 80 percent funded.

If you've been on the fence - now is the time.
If you've already backed - please spread the word. This is do or die time.

2) btw - you can check out Jon's online portfolio here

If you are interested in owning some of Jon's artwork or having Jon design something especially for you? Be sure to check out the EXTREME EARTH Kickstarter rewards at the AGENT OF FIST, EXTREME CHARACTER, and ALTERNATE REALITY pledge levels

3) Steve Long himself has agreed to do our HERO system conversion!
We are thrilled that Steve has come onboard and look forward to working with him on Extreme Earth.

If you're interested in seeing a HERO version of Extreme Earth - please back the project now.
